Royal Music Community was founded by Shwanga in 2017 to bring rappers, producers and music fans together in one online space. It grew around freestyle cyphers, battles, shared tracks, feedback and the connections made between members.
Shwanga created and continued to run RMC with a focus on helping people find each other through music — not simply on winning battles or gaining recognition. Over the years, the community has brought together artists from different places and backgrounds and given emerging talent a space to practise, collaborate and be heard.
RMC is continuing that tradition through hosted events, music reviews, original creative projects and new ways for members to connect.
WHO IS SHWANGA?
Shwanga is the founder and long-time organiser of Royal Music Community. As a rapper and community builder, his contribution has been creating a platform where people can meet, freestyle, collaborate and grow together.
The purpose of RMC has always reached beyond any one artist: it is about the people, opportunities and friendships made possible by a shared love of music.
